Friendship and Befriending the Self

We see, hear, and value others only as well as we see, hear, and value ourselves.

Making friends with the Self opens us up to more rich and beautiful relationships of all kinds with others.

How do you make friends with yourself?

– By following your heart, instead of only doing what “makes logical sense”

– By doing what’s best for you every moment of every day rather than putting yourself last

-By telling yourself nice things about yourself instead of attacking yourself

-By treating your body with kindness, rather than punishing it with food and exercises that don’t feel good for you

– By removing yourself from relationships that don’t meet the above criteria

Once you make friends with the Self, everything changes.
